Banana plugs make speaker installation a breeze. They are designed for use with amplifiers or speakers that use traditional binding posts. Not only is it easier to make the connection on the back of your amp, it is safer with no chance of stray wire strands creating a short across contacts. These high quality plugs are the open screw type and can accept bare wire spades or other banana plugs. They are sized to fit speaker wire from 12 to 18 AWG. Each pair comes with one plug color coded red and the other coded black for easy polarity identification. The plug body is made of brass which is then plated with gold to help prevent corrosion and ensure smooth connections.

• Two attachment methods It’s easy to connect your speaker wires to the banana plug either through the bottom or through the hole in the side. Unscrew the bottom of the banana plug and feed the wire through the hole in the center of the bottom screw. OR Feed the wire through the hole in the side so the speaker wire conductor makes contact with the top of the plug. Tighten the bottom screw to secure the speaker wire. Now you’re ready to connect the plug to your receiver or amplifier.
• Acts as a splitter Each banana plug has a female banana plug connection on the bottom so you can connect multiple speakers from a single speaker output. (Just make sure your amplifier is capable of handling the increased load.)
